ALT. come back, better finance, the value of coaching, mens mastery win, James Gough podcast

Is it just me that has had my sleep quality compromised by day light savings? at least 15-20 points off on both readiness and sleep quality! I'm in Auckland next week, I'm excited to have one podcast pencilled in, a few meetings with contacts up there and tickets booked to go see Steven Bartlett, Diary of a CEO Host, live. The question is: Who is in Auckland, who should I connect with and or what should I do while there? Overall, It's been a good week this past 7 days, Mens Mastery was incredible. The best one yet. So many quality connections made. Loved it.

Hello Friends,

Is it just me that has had my sleep quality compromised by day light savings? at least 15-20 points off on both readiness and sleep quality!

I'm in Auckland next week, I'm excited to have one podcast pencilled in, a few meetings with contacts up there and tickets booked to go see Steven Bartlett, Diary of a CEO Host, live.

The question is: Who is in Auckland, who should I connect with and or what should I do while there?

Overall, It's been a good week this past 7 days, Mens Mastery was incredible. The best one yet.

So many quality connections made. Loved it.

Happy Tuesday,

David

Highlights from last week:

* Mens Mastery event + the kick on drinks

* Sponsor secured for the next event - Welcome to better Finance

* I filmed another dance video

* IHF session with a coaching client, so good to experience lifting weights together

* New theory around lifting weights, energy and confidence

* Longest ever podcast recorded (2 hours+)

* Some amazing dinners with Emily + friends

* West Coast trip

What Have I learned:

The Value of Conversation (Coaching)

Sunday night Emily and I got talking about the Auckland trip next week. I wanted to get clarity on her vision for the trip, was it a holiday, was it work, was it both? What's the goal.

My mindset initially was to go up there, enjoy the DOAC show and then potentially cruise around, maybe go to Waiheke Island and drink some wine.

Emily on the other hand was like NO! It's during the week, it's work time, why not make the most of this from a meeting people, networking, podcasting perspective. It's not that I was against this idea and it was the plan when we booked it a month or so ago.

The reason this is being mentioned in the newsletter today is that it's super easy to either chill or to go with the path of least resistance. Just by having that conversation and that metaphorical slap got me pumped up about doing as much as possible from a work perspective. Booking in another podcast or two and generally being a productive trip vs a holiday trip. Love it.

Since then it's got me thinking about the value in those kinds of conversations, perspectives and influences in our lives. If it's a coaching type dynamic or a trusted friend or partner, it doesn't really matter. The point is that if you've got someone to help question what you're up to and how you're spending your time and energy it can be HUGELY valuable.

So with all that said, if you're in Auckland or if you have any contacts in Auckland that you think I'd get on well with. I'd love an intro.

Ideally looking for people either running businesses, doing something interesting or excelling at something.

Thanks in advance.
