Andy Rowden Podcast, Season 3 Update, Casbolts, Lunch Friday, Week on, Week off Theory
October 29, 2024
Good Morning Everyone,
A short week, always a different energy. it's interesting how in my experience you either love a Public Holiday or find them disruptive.
What I have just down is gone and marked out all the 2025 Holidays on my calendar so not to book over them, seems like business 101 but hey, all part of the 1% daily improvement mindset.
Focus on week on week off is my latest trial project, more on that below and what I mean by week on week off.
Insane to think it's almost November. Looking forward to the Growth Lunch this Friday, hope to see you there. Ticket sales cut off either when SOLD OUT or Wednesday 1pm.
Have a great Tuesday.
David

What Have I learned:
Week on Week off
I've tried a few different structures and protocols recently. Ultimately the goal is to manage time and energy.
We've all got the same amount of time and one of my obsessions is making the most of it.
I think it's why the book "Buy Back Your Time" by Dan Martell resonated so much.
The concept I'm going to test between now and the end of the year is the idea of doing a week working on the business and then a week working "in it" as Business Owners most of us can relate to not spending enough time working on the business and making those improvements.
I've noticed during my weekly review sessions 5am each Monday that, A) it's easy for a week to fly by and B) unless I'm prioritising certain tasks via the Monday Accountability list they may or may not get done.
By giving myself a full week of focusing on either being in the business or working on it, the theory is that there's enough days to make progress. Obviously the day to day will still need to be done and that business development will still happen on the weeks I'm working on the business, it's more of a theme to follow. I've found that when I've tried to break down individual days into have themes, it's not enough time and there's too much changing between days and focuses.
They're very different hats to wear so I'm going to try and break it up by alternating on a fortnightly basis. Will it work? Unsure. Watch this space for updates.
