Great quality chats, adversity, Growth Lunch, Beach Swims, hard things
May 2, 2025
Happy Friday,
A few weeks since the last email with the Easter / Anzac short week situation.
Some wins and some challenges, or should I say learnings.
Overall positivity is high and i'm at a 4.5/5.
Learn more on my take about handling adversity and compartmentalising problems below as well as how conversations with no defined end point have played into my life lately.

What Have I learned:
Adversity and learning and also random chats
This could probably be two weeks of learnings and two seperate topics but I'm going to do my best to merge them together.
Firstly, there's been some challenges lately. By this I mean, Coaching Clients not continuing on the program. At first this hurts, it's a decrease in revenue, it's also a fear of mine to not be providing adequate value and so when someone doesn't want to continue It's a possibility to take it personally.
However, after some reflection and time to process it. It's okay, it's not the end of the world and in fact I've actually learned to see it as a positive thing. After 12-18 months of coaching it's probably not a bad thing to either take a break or to apply action and move into an implementation phase.
Either decreasing the frequency between sessions or pausing.
it's highlighted the need to have the The Altitude Collective as a natural option to move into. So watch this space.
One thing I've enjoyed recently is having conversations that aren't necessarily heading in a set direction, just talking and spending time with high quality people. I feel like there's some collaborations brewing and or joint ventures and or some way to work together and to win.
It was the big take away I got from the Steven Bartley, Diary of a CEO event I went to last year was that growth and doing business and working together with people is something he's learnt to be a key to growth.
There's some many creative iterations available now, it's easier to structure JV's and collaborations so we'll see where these chats lead but if nowhere, thats fine. Part of the journey I've realised lately is that if your days aren't being spent being around people that lift you up and are enjoyable to be around, It's not going to lead to either happiness, peace or success.
