New Events, New Podcast Sponsors & Supporters, Brand Clarity, Cleaner recommendation
Happy Thursday Friends,
It's been an interesting last 7 days, lot's on. I had a great question asked about my time and where it goes. I think there's the surface level response but when you critically assess where you're spending your time via an audit or just looking at your schedule. I think you'd be shocked. I was!
This very blog is an example of closing a loop. Each day I day I become more and more passionate about this idea and the need to finish tasks and not leave things 99% done. Aka a sinking boat.
I'm excited for the first Altitude Collective Boardroom session tomorrow. Assembling a group of legends to celebrate some wins, talk through some challenges as well as a few of the newer members getting to know one another.
The big theme I'm going to write about this week is the idea of the 4th wall and how to balance being real with over stepping that boundary, the point where vulnerability can become off putting. Spoiler alert, i haven't mastered this!
Also keen to plug one of my favourite supplier businesses so take a look at that lower down.

Relatable or Off Putting
It's a delicate balance
It's a fascinating balance, how real is too real. Do you want to be perceived a certain way. How much is the sweet spot volume of content to share?
Building a personal brand vs business brand.
I'm not sure what got me thinking about this but it was likely observing a brand or a person "sharing too much" to the point of it harming that accounts creditability / brand position.
It's probably an inherent risk of content marketing, producing content and being active on social media and or other mediums.
Like with a lot of things, the first step in developing a skill or becoming better at some thing is making a conscious choice to improve. It's like setting any goal. It seems that once you specify that you'd like to become better, you tend to aim in that direction with your effort and thoughts.
I think brand guidelines can you take only so far, i think AI can also distort this.
The challenge for the week is to pause and reflect on both your personal and business brand(s) and how you'd like them to be perceived. What are some reference examples that you like and look to for inspiration and then maybe on the opposite end of the spectrum. What don't you like / what are those no go areas or topics to avoid.
This should help form some clarity.
As our team at ALT. grows and develops this will be something that is more and more relevant. i like the idea of the challenge and solving this problem.
Business of the Week
This week, we're featuring a service provider that I'd like to promote.
You've likely heard me refer to buying back time, either in concept or the Dan Martel Book.
Well this week I thought I'd feature a testimonial for Vanessa who owns the Cleaning Company we've been using for several months now. (residentially).
I've used many cleaners over my life but Vanessa is the best I've come across, professional, clear communicator, exceptional cleaning standards, trustworthy, goes above and beyond / surprise and delights with nice added details.
A great way to support a local business and buy back sometime.
Message me if you'd like Vanessa's details and I'll get you in touch.
Thanks for reading,
David
